Basque is an old region that spans across Spain and France. They are famous for their grilled food over hot coal. Therefore, even their cheesecake has the eye-catching coal-burnt colour on the top.
This cheesecake is so easy to make. You just need to mix all the ingredients, pour the mixture into the cake pan and bake the cake until it is burnt on the top. It doesn't matter which ingredient goes in first.
Ingredients (*6 inch size):
Cream Cheese ~250g
Sugar 1/2 cups
Eggs 2
Heavy Wiping Cream 3/4 cups
Almond extract 1 tsp
Liqueur of your choice/lemon juice 1 tsp
Flour 1 tbsp
Pair it with some jam and cream on the top. It goes perfectly with tea or coffee.
